Alvin was chosen as one of the four active participants by Riccardo Muti to participate in his 4th Edition RM Opera Academy in Ravenna, Italy. In this two-week-long Academy, Alvin rehearsed and worked on Verdi's Macbeth with Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and the following cast under the instruction of Maestro Muti:
